What's New...

The Morning After

The Morining After

"The Morning After is a quick clever look at all things pop culture. Brian Kimmet and Ginger Gonzaga offer their insights and opinions on all the happenings guiding your media menu with humor and expertise."

Brian Kimmet on the set of The Morning After

This was my first time venturing into what is known as ‘hosting’ in the biz. Our team at TMA was wonderful, uber-talented and hilarious! Not to mention wicked FAST. Those writers come in about 2pm, decide which shows to focus on that night. Then they watch the east coast feeds of said shows between 5 and 8pm. Then they bang out all the info and jokes for that nights episode in 2 hours!?Brian Kimmet on the set of The Morning AfterThat’s it, 2 hours! We start rolling about 10pm and wrap at 11 (god willing). The footage is put immediately into the hands of our crack team of editors, who chop it up, string it together and throw down graphics (sent from our genius graphics guy in ARGENTINA!). All in just a few short hours. And then they all come back in and do it again the next day. These people are amazing.

We went live with the show on January 17th, 2011 and it just got better and better (in my humble, totally un-biased opinion). I had a blast doing the show for over a year and a half and nearly 375 episodes..

Hitman 5 aka Hitman: Absolution

Hitman5

Hitman: Absolution is a stealth game being developed by IO Interactive and published by Square Enix It is the fifth entry in the Hitman game series, and will run on IO Interactive's proprietary Glacier 2 game engine. The developers have confirmed that Absolution will be easier to play and more accessible, but will retain hardcore aspects. The game is currently slated for a November 20, 2012 release.

This was one of my first video games (outside of doing battle screams for God of War III for PSP). I did 3 different characters in my first session and then got to come back for 4 more sessions!! It was awesome. I love going to work in my pj's, screaming into a mic for 3 hours and goin home. What I've seen of the game so far looks incredible! Run a search for it on YouTube and you can see a bunch of game play videos.

I've also done some work on another video game that I'm super excited about but I had to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement so I can't talk about it yet. It's supposed to come out in early 2013 though so stay tuned.

How Sweet It Is

How Sweet It Is

In June, I got a chance to do the feature film How Sweet It Is, a hilarious musical romp. Yes, it's a musical. No, I don't sing in it. Nobody wants to see that. Trust me. I do however wear in ascot in it. Which is definitely a sight to see.

Brian and Paul Sorvino on the set of How Sweet it is

Everybody on set was jaw-droppingly talented. From the director Brian Herzlinger to the background dancers, everybody was bringing their A-game and was a joy to work with. Plus, I got to work with Erika Christensen, Paul Sorvino and Joe friggin Piscopo!! It was truly an honor to be a part of such a stellar cast.

Victorious

Brian Kimmet on the Set of Victorious

Over a year ago now I did an episode of Nickelodeon's newest (had not started airing at that point) tween show 'Victorious'. My friend, the uber-talented Jennifer Carta is a regular on the show and was pregnant (but not showing) when we shot the episode. Her beautiful son, Oliver, was 9 months old when it aired. Anywho, theBrian Kimmet on the set of Victorious show and everybody on it were so wonderful to work with. We had a blast. And, what do ya know, I was playing a talk show host. I guess it got me ready for The Morning After! The title of the episode is "A Film by Dale Squires" Check your local Nick listings, they re-run these shows like crazy.

Verizon Spot

Brian Kimmet's Verizon Commercial with Adrian Peterson

92 degrees in Palms Springs. Adrian Peterson is in full gear and never complains once. Dude was a champ. “Adrian we need you to get in the pool” “Ok” “Adrian we need you to be totally wet so would you dunk your head under water” “No Problem”
“Adrian can you wrap the towel around your head” “I’ve been practicing in my trailer” What a pro. And a super nice guy.  Brian Kimmet on the Set of Verizon Wireless Commercial with Adrian PetersonI asked him to sign an autograph for my 5 yr. old nephew and he didn’t hesitate at all. “Sure, man. What’s his name?” (the autograph was actually for my  33 yr old roommate) Thanks Adrian!
And for all the people asking on YouTube who the girl is? Her name is Katie Savoy and she is a sweetheart. So nice, so genuine, and so MARRIED. Sorry guys.

Starz

Brian Kimmet is your Guide to all things entertainment

I am now your "Guide to all things entertainment" on Starz on Demand and Starz.com. Now you would think this job had come to me because of 'The Morning After' but, suprisingly enough, the director saw the Verizon/Adrian Peterson commercial and called me in off of that. In fact, they didn't even know I was doing 'The Morning After'. (I almost didn't get it because of it) But in the end it all worked out. The people at Starz are AWESOME. We had an hilarious time shooting the first round and finished over two hours ahead of schedule!! And it looks like I'll be going back every 6-8 weeks to shoot the next round. If you have Starz on Demand I'm sure you're getting a lil sick of me by now, but if you don't you can check it here.
